did you know?

the cicada is also known as the dog day harvest fly? i did not so i made a painting about it.
this is one of my latest favorites. acrylic/mixed on board. 8x10".

    i did not know but after last years biblical emergence around here I'd be happy to never see a dog day harvest fly again...i know it's mean but there were sooooo many! beth
