i'm still processing my squamagical experience, but i wanted to show you this class portrait from day two. i taught three full days at squam, which is why, i know, i have a bad cold today, but it was all worth it. i feel so lucky to have met all of these amazing ladies, to have them to "play" with all day was an unbelievable treat for me. i wish that i thought to take a class portrait each day, but alas, i did not. i will be downloading more of my photos once i find my camera cord. no, i still haven't unpacked.

more soon xo *s

ps: hey- if you are in this picture OR were one of my students, will you let me know if you have a blog/website that i can link to? i'd love to include you or your posts about squam and/or about your experiences in my class here on my blog. thank you thank you thank you! xo

  2. Hello Sarah! It's Jessica E, from your day 3 class. I'm probably the one who gave you the cold. Sorry! But it was worth it, right? Thanks again for everything. I'll soon be blogging about my very different (hard/strange/difficult) Squam experience, once I wrap my head around the words.

(Oh, and for a moment, I thought you had stolen my iPod since I seem to have all the same songs in my collection! Love.)

  6. Hi Sarah...I join you in the "not yet unpacked" club! I have all of my dirty clothes and various totes of supplies thrown on the kitchen floor just inches from the door i walked in late Sunday afternoon...dropped everything on the floor and took to my bed! All that creativity just knocked me out! I have a blog www.capeanndiaries.blogspot.com and have put up one SAW pic...and will post a real post with a bunch of pix over the weekend! I loved your class and feel truly inspired...and am (for the first time ever) keeping a sketchbook close at hand! I also promise to take some pix of all of my floral still lifes to send you. I've been collecting them for years...mostly just torn from friends' sketchbooks! Feel better soon! All best, Mary

  7. Sarah - I wasn't a part of your classes, but took classes that were on either side of your area in the Deep Diningroom. I BEGGED one of my roomates who attended your class on Sat. to ask if you would share your playlist as both days I thoroughly enjoyed creative magic while listening in on your class and music! Is there any way you can post your playlist, or give us the titles/artists of the playlist you used? THANK YOU for helping to make my Squam experience musical and magical (and you didn't even know it!).

  11. What a great picture! :) I'm so psyched to put all the new techniques you gave us to use. Had a flood of freelance work come in, right after returning from Squam, so no time yet for art - wah! Boy am I itching for it. I have the little pieces I did in your class propped up where I see them and they inspire new ideas all the time. Especially looking forward to experimenting with your musical-media game again! :) (Speaking of, I want to second your thanks to Ingrid Michaelson for inspiring the class soundtrack. I love her! Am relatively new to her music; found out about her a year ago when she opened for a band my husband and I went to see in KY. Would love to know who else was on your playlist!)
